Which one is for you
Both are good at different things. Here is who each one suits.
Pick DarLink AI for…
Designing a character from scratch and turning scenes into pictures and short clips. Ahead of Kupid AI on characters and value.
- Chat, voice, pictures and video generation all live in a single web app
- The character creator offers six art styles and three gender choices
- Paying yearly brings the monthly price down to $9.99, $18.99 or $32.99
The catch: Free use stops after just two of your own messages, because the 5 free messages also count the character's greeting and answers
Pick Kupid AI for…
A personalised companion who answers with voice notes. Ahead of DarLink AI on privacy.
- Clear, published limits for photos, videos and voice minutes on each tier
- Reviews from 2026 count its voice messages among the most natural-sounding in this space
- A character creator offering realistic and anime looks, and a few male characters too
The catch: Free accounts stop at 15 messages and one picture, get no video or voice, and replies slow to roughly a minute as the allowance runs down
