Our verdict on HeyGF
Best for lifelike AI girlfriends who share photos and clips mid-conversation
HeyGF (branded heyGF.AI) is a browser-based AI girlfriend service run by Y2A LLC, which lists a mailing address in Dover, Delaware and chooses Delaware law in its terms. Its domain was registered in May 2025, the same month as the oldest characters in the catalogue. There are 134 official companions, all photoreal women between 18 and 67, each with a backstory, portrait, intro video and voice (22 of them are for paying members only); you can also design a private companion by picking her appearance, personality, relationship style, ground rules and voice. During chat the characters send photos, videos and voice notes, some of them locked behind coins, and you can ring them for live voice calls. The Girlfriend Studio makes pictures of any character from a prompt or reference image, explicit images included on paid plans, and turns them into clips of up to 15 seconds with sound.
You can start without a card: guests may chat with no account at all, and the site's code limits free use to 5 messages a day for guests and 30 for registered users (we got 29 answers), with blurred pictures, voice notes reserved for subscribers and one free picture for new accounts. Casual is 9.99 USD a month with 150 coins, Closer 19.99 with 350 coins and Exclusive 39.99 with 800 coins; paid yearly they cost 99.99, 189.99 or 349.99 (displayed as 8.33, 15.83 and 29.17 a month) and also open each character's full photo gallery. All plans include unlimited messages, and coins cover media at 3 a picture and 25 a video (roughly 50 pictures or 6 videos a month on Casual), plus voice, calls, gifts, locked media and custom characters; top-ups run from 5.99 for 40 coins to 349.99 for 7,000. The savings badges are measured against crossed-out prices of 15, 35 and 80 a month that value each coin at 0.10, so paying yearly really saves 17% to 27% over monthly, and coin packs and custom media cannot be refunded.
HeyGF is a good match if you want photoreal girlfriend characters who send lots of pictures and short clips, at a modest starting price. The drawbacks: only women in a single photoreal style (male companions are promised later), English only and no native apps, two 2026 hands-on reviews from affiliated sites calling the chat repetitive with middling memory, a 'heygf.ai' line on card statements despite the FAQ's neutral-name promise, and a privacy policy that allows email and account identifiers to be shared with ad partners.
Why this score. Chat quality 5: two hands-on reviews from 2026, published by sites using the same HeyGF referral code, report chat that stays coherent and in character but grows repetitive, gives way when pushed and forgets much from earlier days; we found no independent user feedback. Characters 6: 134 official photoreal companions with backstories, intro videos and individual voices, yet only women in one style, 22 locked to members and no community library. Features 8: photos, videos and voice notes in chat, live calls, a Studio that works from prompts or reference images and animates clips up to 15 seconds with sound, a detailed creator and memory, though there are no native apps and we saw no group chat. Value 6: 9.99 a month covers unlimited messages and 150 coins, but pictures, videos, voice, calls, gifts and locked media all use coins, coin sales are final and the promoted savings depend on reference prices. Privacy 5: you only need an email address or Google account, crypto is accepted and the company says chats are not used for AI training, against a 'heygf.ai' card descriptor, identifier sharing with ad partners and staff tools able to read chats and call transcripts. UX 6: fast browser access with guest chat, an installable web app and push notifications, but English only, blurred or locked media in chat, and pages that disagree with each other about free limits and voice calls.

Guests can chat without registering, and a free account handles basic conversation; the site's code allows 5 free messages a day for guests and 30 for registered users, and it also runs an experiment on chat limits. When we tested on 26 September 2026, a new account got 29 replies before the upgrade window appeared, and on 27 September the allowance reset 24 hours after the previous day's first message. On free, images are blurred, voice notes require a subscription, 22 of the 134 official characters are members-only, and new accounts receive one free picture. According to the FAQ, custom photos, videos, NSFW media and 'enhanced intimate chat' come with a subscription. Trial: there is no trial of the paid plans; the 'free trial' mentioned on the pricing page refers to the free tier (no card needed), and new accounts get one free picture. Checkout has a field for promo codes.

Every plan combines unlimited messages with a monthly coin balance that pays for media and extras. The price list inside the chat charges 3 coins for a private picture and 25 for a private video, which gives Casual roughly 50 pictures or 6 videos a month. Characters may also send locked photos, videos and voice notes that need coins to open; voice notes and calls draw on coins too (calls by the minute), gifts for characters cost coins, and saving a custom girlfriend takes a few coins. In the Girlfriend Studio, the site's code sets 3 or 4 coins per image and 30 to animate a picture. The site's code lists coin packs of 40 for 5.99, 100 for 9.99, 300 for 24.99, 650 for 49.99, 1,500 for 99.99, 3,500 for 199.99 and 7,000 for 349.99. In April 2026 the same plans came with 50, 120 and 250 coins a month. A recruitment page for promoters says many users spend between 1,000 and 2,000 USD a month.

Y2A LLC (United States) operates HeyGF, and its name may show on card statements. You don't have to give your real name to sign up. Payment: credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) handled by CentroBill, or cryptocurrency via CentroBill's crypto checkout (purchases of 19.99 USD or more, which do not renew). You sign in with an emailed link or a Google account; no phone number or ID is asked for. The privacy policy (11 September 2026) names Y2A LLC as operator and says data is held mostly in Google Cloud (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), encrypted in transit and at rest; relevant parts of chats are sent to third-party AI model providers, chats are not used to train AI models and personal data is not sold, yet your email address, name and account identifier may be passed to advertising and analytics partners (Meta, Google, Microsoft, Reddit, X and PostHog) when you sign up, sign in or buy. Deleting your account in Settings still leaves a record with your email address; full erasure needs a request to privacy@heygf.ai and takes up to 30 days. Checkout says charges show as 'heygf.ai', whereas the FAQ and About page promise a neutral merchant name. The older AI Disclaimer (6 May 2025) still says chat data may train models, the terms ban downloading or saving any media, and the site's code contains staff tools for monitoring chats, reviewing voice-call transcripts and recordings, and viewing what characters remember about users. As with any companion app, keep details that identify you or other real people out of your chats.

- Whether real people join the chats: the site's public code includes staff roles called chat agent, chat trainee and chat supervisor, a 'Chatter Performance' page and a permission to send paid media in chats at any price, yet the content moderation and anti-trafficking policies say users only ever talk to AI.
- What coins it costs to open locked media in chat, to make voice calls (the site's code sets 1 coin a minute) and to send gifts, since these only show in the signed-in app; coin pack prices are taken from the site's code rather than a public page.
- Whether unused monthly coins carry over, and whether free users are able to buy coin packs.
- Which chat, image and voice models power the service.
- Where the company is actually registered and operated: its only published address is a Dover, Delaware suite used by many firms, and the site's structured data claims a 2024 founding while the domain dates from 2 May 2025.
- How the card descriptor has changed: checkout names CentroBill and 'heygf.ai', but the May 2025 terms list Epoch as a payment partner.
- Whether the chat handles languages besides English: voice samples include French, Russian, Turkish and Spanish, and one landing page claims 10+ languages and accents.
- Voice calls: an older landing page describes voice messages rather than live calls, though the explore and character pages now offer calls; we did not test call quality.
- Whether a Telegram mini-app exists, as a landing page suggests; we found no official iOS or Android app.
- Whether custom companions can be shared publicly: the site's code supports public custom characters, but none appear in listings.
- The user and rating figures (50,000+ users, a 4.8 average rating, 15,000+ daily active users) are the company's own claims, with no evidence behind them.
