What we measure
Each hands-on test records the same eight things. You will find them on every tested review, in the card headed We tested it on a free account, together with the date of the test.
Free messages before the limit
We keep chatting until the platform stops us and count every message. We also note how the allowance works: a daily reset, a fixed number for the account, or credits shared with pictures and calls.
How far free chat goes
A three-step check on the free account: flirting, undressing, explicit sex. Each step is marked allowed, softened or refused, and when a character holds back we quote what it said.
Reply time
Timed from sending a message to the end of the reply. When the first words appear much earlier, we note that time as well.
Memory
Early in the chat we mention a small detail, then ask about it later. We record whether the character remembered it, and how many messages later.
Free pictures
Whether a free account can get pictures at all, how many and what they cost in credits. Marked not tested when we could not try it on the free account.
Sign-up
Minutes from opening the site to sending the first message, which sign-in options are offered and whether an email check stands in the way.
First offer
The first paid plan the platform pushes at a new account, with its real price and billing period, and the name on the card statement when the site shows it.
The limit screen
What happens when the free messages run out: the message shown, any countdown to the reset and how hard the upgrade push is.
The test, step by step
- Read the rules firstBefore signing up we read the platform's pricing page, terms, privacy policy and FAQ, so we know what it promises.
- Open a fresh accountA brand-new free account, in English, in an ordinary desktop browser. No press account, no special access, no chat history.
- Talk to a typical characterWe pick one of the platform's own featured characters, the way a new visitor would.
- Run the checklistA memory detail early on, the three-step explicit check, timed replies and every message counted until the limit appears.
- Record what the account is shownSign-up steps, pop-ups, the first offer and its price, the limit screen and anything unusual along the way.
- Write it up with datesResults go into the review together with the test date. Anything we could not confirm is listed as such, not guessed.
- Compare across platformsEach result is ranked against the other tested platforms, so “faster than 11 of 27 others” means exactly that.
- Check again when things changeWhen a platform changes its free tier, prices or rules, or a reader tells us something is out of date, we check it again and update the date.

How scores and rankings work
Our editors score every platform from 1 to 10. The score is guided by six criteria and by what we saw in the hands-on test:
Chat quality
How well the character writes, stays in role and keeps track of a long conversation, including what our memory check showed.
Characters
How big and varied the library is, and the tools for making your own.
Features
Voice, pictures, video, group chat, apps and similar extras, and whether they work on a free account.
Value
What the free tier and the paid plans actually give you for the money, counting credits that get used up.
Privacy and payments
What sign-up asks for, how data is handled and stored, and payment options such as discreet billing or crypto.
Ease of use
Signing up, finding your way around on phone and desktop, and the apps.
The overall score is our editors' rating of the platform as a whole. Where we publish the six individual scores, you will find them on the review, each with a short note.
Numbered lists follow the overall score. Platforms we have a partner link with are labelled as partners, and anything sponsored says so. How the site earns money is explained in the affiliate disclosure, and the ranking rules, including the partner picks box, are on the about page.
How we check prices
Prices come from each platform's own pricing page and from what our test account is offered. The “from” price is the lowest monthly cost across all plans. When it needs yearly billing, the review says so and shows the month-to-month price next to it where there is one.
Every review shows when its prices were last checked. Prices change often, so confirm on the platform before you pay.
How characters are screened
Characters come from the public catalogues of the platforms we review. Before any character is published here:
- its name and description are checked for anything that could point to someone under 18, such as school settings, ages or family roles;
- its picture is checked twice, independently, and blocked if either check raises a doubt: youthful looks, school uniforms or settings, real people, well-known copyrighted characters, signs of non-consent, or a broken image;
- anything blocked is never published, and stays blocked.
Characters that disappear from a platform's catalogue are hidden after 45 days. The full rules are in our content policy.
Rules we keep
- The same checklist on every platform we test.
- Always a new free account, never a special or press account.
- Every result carries the date it was measured.
- If we could not confirm something, the review says so instead of guessing.
- Prices are the real lowest monthly price, with the billing period stated.
- Partner platforms and sponsored placements are labelled.
- Mistakes are corrected, and the checked date is updated when we do.

Do you test with a free or a paid account?
With a new free account, because that is what most people try first. Paid plans are described from the platform's own pricing page and from the offers our test account was shown.
Do you earn money from the platforms you review?
From some of them. When you sign up through a partner link we may earn a commission. Partner platforms are labelled, sponsored placements are marked, and the details are in our affiliate disclosure.
How long does a test take?
One full session on a fresh account: from sign-up until the free messages run out or the checklist is done. Results are dated, so you can see how recent each one is.
Why do some reviews have no hands-on test yet?
We add platforms faster than we can test them. PornWorks AI, Seduced AI, Crushi AI are next in line; until then their reviews are based on the platform's own pages.
What does “not reached” mean in a test?
The free messages ran out before we got to that step, so we could not check it on a free account.
What do you do when you cannot confirm something?
We say so on the review instead of guessing, and we use the newest published source when a figure is only visible behind a paywall.
How are characters and their pictures checked?
Every character's name and description goes through an age-safety text check, and its picture is checked twice, independently. If either check raises a doubt, the character is blocked and never published.
Can I use your test results?
Yes. The free tiers, tested table has every result with a CSV download, free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a link back.
I found something out of date. How do I tell you?
Use the contact page and tell us which page, what changed and, if you can, where you saw it. Once we have checked it, we fix the review and update its date.
